With a first degree and an MSc in Physics (Nankai University China), my passion of seeking energy for our country’s industrial development brought me to Aberdeen -- the oil capital city of Europe.  I subsequently completed a further MSc in Safety Engineering and Risk Management in the offshore Oil and Gas industry, and joined Atkins Global, January 2009 – the biggest and best engineering consultant company in Europe. I’ve been working, learning and enjoying various interesting and challenging projects, and trying to do my best for my industry.

This speed sailing project strongly attracted to me for various reasons. Firstly, it is a very innovative and creative design based on professional knowledge and highly recognized engineering simulation and modeling tools. Secondly, I am fully enjoying the team work and interaction with the other team members based on my strong science and engineering background, enjoying the emotional reward as the project progresses day after day due to our hard work. Thirdly, this project uses wind power to gain speed, so it is completely “green” and environmental friendly.
